
Terms and Conditions
Payment Terms:
A deposit of 20% is required within seven days of the booking.

Balance due:
The remaining 80% is due at 30 days before the lesson/tour date.
Payment Method:
We will send an invoice with a link to complete payment through our provider, Flywire. This will allow you to pay your deposit or the full price, depending on how far in advance you book.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation 30 days or more prior to the booking date: You will receive an 80% refund of the total invoiced amount.

1 - 15 days Full Charge.
We reserve the right to cancel any reservations that do not meet our booking terms or have not been paid by the due date.
Flywire may charge additional processing fees from the refund amount.
Extreme Weather Events:
In the event of extreme weather that has caused the resort to cease operations or the safety of the tour is at risk, we will offer a reschedule or refund of the lesson/tour
No compensation is available if suitable terrain is accessible for the booked lesson or tour.
Culture day:
If the mountains are not calling then we can take a drive and explore some of the famous delights of the area. This can include some snow activities, some skiing, site seeing, eating, drinking and of course onsen.
Re scheduling:
We allow 1 reschedule to an available date within the same season.
Full Refund :
A 100% refund is only available at the discretion of the manager of Niseko Zen for lessons/tours that have not commenced.
Lift passes:
Guest lift passes are not included with any lesson or guiding product. They are required to be purchased separately for the duration of the lesson or guided product, when accessing a resort area. No refund will be given for any unused portion of lift passes.

Gear/Equipment:
You are required to check the gear list for the service you have booked and come equipped with all required equipment. If you require rentals this is to be organized before the tour begins.
Media:
Any media captured in the duration of your tour can be used for Niseko Zen online platforms unless guests request otherwise.
Photography service:
Turn around for edited photos can be up to 14 days.
Accident and personal Liability.
Participant Accepts Dangers:
Skiing, snowboarding and other mountain sports are high-risk activities. Niseko Zen and its employees cannot be held liable for accidents or injuries, including serious bodily harm or injury resulting in death that occurs before, during or after your guide or tour.
Indemnity:
By participating in any Niseko Zen tour or lesson, you waive certain legal rights, including the right to sue or claim compensation. The term "wilderness activities" includes skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, hiking, snowshoeing, backcountry travel, and any associated activities or events. You acknowledge and accept the risks associated with wilderness activities, including the possibility of injury, death, property damage, or loss. You confirm that you have read and understood
Therefore, anyone participating in Niskeko Zen Lessons or Guiding services provided by Niseko Zen is agreeing to:

Not hold Niseko Zen legally responsible.

Not sue or make claims against Niseko Zen, its employees, affiliates, or agents.

Take personal responsibility for any injuries or damages that might occur during the activity.
Jurisdiction and Governing Law:
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Hokkaido, Japan. By participating in a Niseko Zen tour, you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of the courts located in Hokkaido for the resolution of any such disputes.
Force Majeure:
Neither Niseko Zen nor the guest shall be held liable for any delay, cancellation, or failure to perform under these Terms and Conditions due to events beyond the reasonable control of the parties, including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters (such as earthquakes, floods, or snowstorms), war, civil unrest, strikes, pandemics, or government actions ("Force Majeure"). In the event of a Force Majeure, Niseko Zen will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the trip or provide alternative arrangements.
