Equipment List :

Lift Access Day Essentials: 

  • Powder Skis or Snowboard. 

  • Ski Poles with powder baskets: For snowboarders, collapsible poles may be required.

  • Ski/snowboard wear: Wind and waterproof hard shell is ideal.

  • Down Jacket. 

  • Spare thermals (If you are a sweater a dry layer to change in is essential).

  • Facemask/Balaclava - We recommend that you wear or carry a facemask and neck warmer.

  • Gloves - Please choose warm and well fitting gloves for skiing.

  • Hiking gloves/Glove liners.

  • Goggles - Bring goggles with high light and low light lenses if possible. 

  • Sunglasses: For the hike.

  • Avalanche safety equipment and minimum 20L backpack: beacon (3 antenna), shovel, probe - Rentals are ¥5,500 per day.

  • Multi-tool. 

  • Snacks: We generally stop on the way but it is always good to have some snacks ready to go for the missions. 

Backcountry Day Essentials:

 

  • Touring Skis, Splitboard or Climbing snowshoes - Skis with touring bindings and skins, or a split board with skins , with a regular snowboard you can also use snowshoes. If you don't have your own these you will need to rent some at least a day before the tour).
