Niseko Zen Tours

Chase the best powder in the world with a Niseko Zen backcountry guide by your side.
From lift-accessed stashes to full touring missions, our guides specialize in finding the deepest lines and best conditions Hokkaido has to offer.

Whether you're an experienced rider looking to push deeper or a strong intermediate eager to take your first steps into the backcountry, we tailor each tour to your level, goals,

and the ever-changing snow conditions.

The peak of the powder season runs from early January through the end of February, with early March still delivering quality snow and quieter terrain.
Our team monitors weather and avalanche conditions daily, adjusting plans in real time

to make sure you're always in the right place at the right time.

Touring with a guide means more than just finding great snow—it’s about making smart decisions, moving efficiently, and experiencing the mountains with safety, flow, and style.

Please note: Our guides prioritize safety and decision-making above all else. While we always aim to find the best possible conditions, terrain choices and objectives may be adjusted based on

weather, snow stability, and group ability.
Our professional approach ensures that every day in the backcountry is both rewarding and responsibly managed.

Lift Access Backcountry

Enjoy easy access guiding to the local stashes using lifts and backcountry gates.

Our Lift Access Backcountry Tour is designed for experienced skiers and snowboarders who want to venture beyond the resort gates into Niseko’s legendary sidecountry terrain.

With access from resorts like Niseko, Moiwa, Rusutsu, and Kiroro, we’ll guide you to the deepest turns and most exciting lines available, always with safety and snow conditions as the top priority.

We only enter the backcountry when the snowpack is stable, and we adjust plans daily to chase the best weather and snow.
Some days might mean touring a little further, while others could be pure gravity-fed laps through deep, untouched trees.

Either way, you’ll be following a guide who knows where to go and how to get you there safely.

This experience requires strong riding ability in powder and trees, and all guests must carry modern avalanche safety equipment: a transceiver, shovel, probe, and a properly fitted backcountry-specific pack.

The Best Guides!

Juan and Sofía are the best guides! Very knowledgeable on terrain around Niseko and ensuring a fun but safe experience. They both helped plan out my proposal with my fiancé and helped make the day one I will never forget. Sofia's photos from the day came out amazing. Highly recommend!

Amazing!

Our guide Facu from Niseko Zen did an excellent job considering the challenging snow conditions; he always managed to find great runs with untouched snow.

Facu is someone you can truly rely on when it comes to safety and finding the best lines on the mountain.

I would highly recommend Facu to anyone looking for demanding yet fantastic skiing.

Niseko sidecountry

My sister and I skied a wonderful day with our guide, Flor Carrasco. We were pumped to cruise around to multiple zones of Niseko side country with her and the flow of the day was perfect. Flor had excellent knowledge of the area, was super fun to ski with, and we loved ripping turns with her. She even helped us with some beta on other ski days/plans we had; amazing guide and ski day all around! We love Flor!!
